The City of Winchester
The City of Winchester is one of the oldest towns in the State of Kentucky, having been established in 1793, as the county seat of Clark County, this being the year after the formation of the county. In those early days the town was close to the Bush Settlement, near Boonesborough, where Daniel Boone established Fort Boonesborough on the Kentucky River.
